Pueblo Colorado Jewelers
Pueblo Money Clip
Pueblo Colorado sits about 100 miles south of Denver Colorado along the I-25 Corridor. At one time the town of about 120,000 was full of hard working steelworkers, and Pueblo was even the smelter capital of the world at one time, full of men that worked with their hands. A long tradition of handmade tools, gadgets, and other things including jewelry came from this workforce. I can remember the many steelworker friends my family had, some involved in woodworking, some mining and lapidary, others hunting and gunsmithing, some made tools and machinery as hobbies, but all had this great pride of working with their hands. I started very young playing with rocks and my lapidary machine, my dad and I would spend hours cutting cabs and slabbing rocks. Then my interest shifted to cars and motorcycles, the gas guzzling autos of the 60's. Again working with my hands building engines and drive trains for those powerful motors of that era. Then Vietnam came into the picture and I gave the U.S.Government 4 years. After that I spent close to 20 years in the insurance industry and one day I decided to go back to my calling, something made with my hands. Coming from a long line of inventors and entrepreneurs I went to work following a dream of my own.

In 1994 Skystone and Silver was born with the thought of doing something with my hands. Many people, some from the CF&I steel mill helped build some of the specialized tools I now use today. One person emerged as a great teacher of metal working especially making steel tools. Tad Bugauski, toolmaker and Polish immigrant stepped into my life and proceeded to send me on a path that was only limited by my own imagination.

Today my work is virtually hand made, unlike most Pueblo Colorado Jewelers, mostly stemming from my skills with the jewelers saw and tool making. When I started in the jewelry arts, the small decorative designs that could be made by hand fascinated me. Most of my handmade pieces including the Silver Money Clips and Pendants that are now so popular come from this process. Recently I appeared at the 12th annual Pueblo Chile and Frijole Festival with my hand made Mira Sol Chili Jewelry Collection and was very pleased with the publics response. I will continue to innovate new products and ideas into the jewelry I make. Pueblo Colorado Jewelers industry has a rich history of entrepreneurs and people working with their hands and I am following in their footsteps.
some of the Great Jewelers of the past Phil Lombard, Bill Ballas, Eno Fraterelli and Dean Johnson I knew them all I can even remember Goodmans Jewelry in the Central Plaza.
