Money Clip History
With the exception of China and Japan, the introduction of paper money came
about in 1690 when faced with an immediate need to pay expenses relating to
a military action against Canada during King William's War, on December 10,
1690 the General Court authorized the issuing of £7,000 in public paper
currency. This was the first public paper money issued in the history of
Western civilization.

The History of the money clip, of course came onto the scene shortly
thereafter. Possibly before in other cultures and lands. Rumor has it that
the late great Pharaoh of Egypt possessed one! But for us here, the usual "bearer" of such an item, was the upper class type, although the range of prices accommodate pretty much everyone.
You can find a clip for 5 dollars
all the way up to 5 thousand. Like the cocktail generation and smokey jazz
clubs, it fell out of fashion for a time, but now is making a strong
comeback.

How classy you would look, when schmearing the palm of a M'ater D at a
swank restaurant, when you pull out your clip to pass on a
twenty...you can imagine the gadgets that was apart of James Bond's money
clip...a small recorder, or gas pellet dispenser or even a diamond edge
cutter to get him out of yet another slim situation. How can you think of
your Grandpa without a money clip. It would have been like walking around
naked!

The variety that they all came in was a unique statement of who you are.
Serious images adorned many, not so serious adorned others. If you were a
Masonic, well you might of had the reverse side of the "Seal", a
shriner,
no better than a fez! a sailor an
anchor, a
motorcycle enthusiast, a
harley....it goes on and on. You too can "show your colors" just like the
old days...Skystone and Silver specializes in crafting hand made 100%
