Jessie Urie
As a child Jessie was very creative
and knew that was her calling. She
enjoyed collecting and tumbling rocks, drawing, painting, and making anything
from pogs to jewelry out of telephone wire.
When
Jessie was a senior in high school, she had the opportunity to take college
classes and decided to try Jewelry Design classes. She instantly fell in love with it, and when she graduated from
High School in 2002, with loving support from her parents, she decided to
pursue her college career in Jewelry Design. Having Sue Anne Rische as a Jewelry instructor gave Jessie a whole new
aspect in life…ART. She became
fascinated not only with the craft of Jewelry Making, but the art of it as
well. She was in numerous student art
shows and ended up receiving 2nd place spring of 2004 and many
Honorable Mentions. Working at Alpine
Casting over the summers gave her an understanding of the production end of
jewelry making. With lots of
inspiration and support from her parents and fellow classmates she finished her
associate’s degree in December of 2004.
Jessie
is currently focusing on getting her jewelry career going full time while
working full time as a data entry operator. She is still creating jewelry as well as learning new techniques form
Rick Sindeband owner of Skystone and Silver. She is currently showing her work at Skystone and Silver LLC as well as
working on a line of yoga jewelry being shown at Fountain of Health Yoga
Studio. She is also planning a wedding
for next year and will soon be known as Jessie White. |
